SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Two drivers were injured in a traffic accident Monday in Seminole County, sending both to separate hospitals.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol worked the accident about 3:35 p.m. on U.S. 377 at County Road EW 136.
A 1984 Ford Bronco driven by James Harris, 38, Holdenville, and a 1996 International 2-ton truck driven by Brian Coy, 37, Wynnewood, were northbound on U.S. 377 when the accident occurred, the OHP said.
When Harris slowed his Bronco and was turning left, the cut back and turned right, going into the path of the truck, according to the OHP report.
The collision resulted in Harris being pinned in the wreckage for about 35 minutes before being freed by Konawa firefighters, the patrol said.
Harris was taken by Medi Flight helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City for treatment of internal injuries, where he was admitted in serious condition.
Coy was taken by Seminole Medicus ambulance to Valley View Hospital in Ada, where he was treated for unspecified injuries and released.
Seat belts were not in use in either vehicle, the OHP said. Trooper Michael Choate investigated the accident.
