Honoring those officers is part of “Police Week,” which is being observed this week. Shawnee officers whose names are listed on the Oklahoma memorial are: Capt. Claude James Bowen, who died in 1935; Detective Robert Arthur Warlick, who died in 1934; Marion K. Farrall, who was chief when he died in October 1907; Chief Jerry Spann, who died in 1920; Officer David Wayne Clark, who died while conducting a pursuit Aug. 16, 1980; and Glen G. Collins, the lake ranger who died in a traffic accident Dec. 13, 2005.
