The FireLake Grand will sponsor the 2009 MDA Celebrity Poker Tournament starting 10 a.m. Aug. 15.
The buy-in for this poker tournament is $60 plus $20 with unlimited re-buys from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
MDA fights the disease that affects more than one million Americans.
Guest celebrities include stars of the Girls Next Door, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt.
Madison is perhaps best known as Hugh Hefner’s number one girlfriend and Playboy model.
Marquardt is another of Hefner’s girlfriends and host of “Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches” on the Travel Channel.
Family Show celebrities including, “Leave It To Beaver” star Jerry Mathers and Donny Most better known as Ralph Malph, from Happy Days will be playing.
Joining the team is celebrity players from the hit show “Big Brother” include Dr. Will Kirby, “Chicken George” Boswell, and Mike “Boogie” Malin. “The Bachelor” will be represented by Charlie O’Connell and “The Amazing Race” by Brennan Swain who also was voted one of Hollywood’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelors.
Gervase Peterson, a contestant from “Survivor: Borneo will bring some excitement to the tournament.
Local personalities from Classic Rock Radio, 107.7 KRXO, and Fox25 will be playing as well.
Adding to the fun are the new 2009-10 Thunder Girls! The Thunder Girls’ Dance Team of 19 young women was recently finalized.
The team is sure to generate great enthusiasm at the Thunder games and the 2009 MDA Celebrity Poker Tournament!
Participants and on-lookers also can participate in a live auction that will feature donated items from local merchants with the proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
