A gigantic cast will take the stage at Shawnee Little Theatre as the classic musical “Oliver!” brings the theatre season to a close.
Directed by Trey Davis, with musical direction by Carolyn Daugherty and choreography by Kristi Gibson, the musical will be performed June 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m., and June 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. Stephanie Moring will be the orchestra conductor.
Featured performers are Jack Hopkins as Oliver Twist, Matt Hopkins as Fagin, Jesse Carter as the Artful Dodger, Peggy Argo as Nancy, Sydney Carter as Bet, David Irby as Mr. Bumble, Ann McGuire as Widow Corney and Joe Freeman as Bill Sikes.
Also starring are Justin McAfee, Sierra Brock, Gregory Mayberry, Heidi Presley and Joe Carmichael.
Orphans include Rachel Argo, Autumn Burnett, Ryan Fortson, Cierra Gibson, Brice Koons, Madison Leslie, Erin Presley, Luke Presley, Megan Presley, Micah Swedberg and Noah Youmans.
The pickpockets are Chandler Bess, Ryan Fortson, Caleb Jennings, Logan Jennings, Luke Kelly, Brice Koons, Erin Presley, Luke Presley, Micah Swedberg and Noah Youmans.

Priority ticket sales night for patron and season ticket holders is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. Regular box-office hours begin Tuesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and continue at that time during the run of the show, except Sundays. With music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart, this Charles Dickens’ classic tale of Oliver Twist is brought to the stage with the award-winning songs of Lionel Bart. The adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel tells the story of a young boy, his escape from poverty and reversal of fortune. With its pathos and drama, “Oliver!” is packed with memorable musical numbers. “Food, Glorious Food,” “I’d Do Anything,” “You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two,” “Consider Yourself” and “Who Will Buy” are musical theatre classics.
The new 2009-2010 Shawnee Little Theatre season will be announced during the run of the show and new season tickets will be on sale in the lobby. The current season’s sponsors are BancFirst, ExxonMobil Chemical and Prudential Carolyn Harris Realty.
