BETHEL, Okla. —

For the first time, five McLoud homes will be open for holiday viewing.
Sponsored by the McLoud Historical Society, the Historic Home Tour will be held 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13. The halls will be decked, and visitors will be welcome to tour the homes and learn their history.
Tickets are available now by calling 405-964-5169, and they will be sold the day of the tour at the McLoud Historical Society Museum, 421 W. Broadway.
A reception will begin at the museum at 12:30 p.m. the day of the tour. Maps will be provided and the tour will begin promptly at 1 p.m.
A host or hostess will greet visitors at each home, introduce them to the homeowners and provide a short written history of the home.
Following the tour, a handmade porcelain doll will be given away. The doll was donated by doll artist Beatrice McKinley of Harrah. Tickets for the drawing will be available at the museum.
Official Oklahoma Centennial Christmas ornaments are still available from the McLoud Historical Society, and may be purchased the day of the tour. Limited copies of the book, “Two Communities in Stitches,” by Leah Horton Bird, also are available for purchase.
