A two-day AARP safe driving class begins at 1 p.m. Monday at the Shawnee Senior Center on North Bell Street. Part two will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The class is open to all licensed drivers, and those completing the class are eligible for a discount on their auto insurance.

The monthly meeting of the Senior Citizens of Shawnee board of directors begins at 9:30 a.m. in the WP Wood Room of the Shawnee Senior Center, 401 N. Bell.
