AT MOVIES 6:
“The Pineapple Express:” On their way to becoming self-actualized adults, a duo of delinquent dudes find themselves stymied by unfortunate habits. But when stuck-in-neutral process server Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) inadvertently witnesses a drug-related murder, he and his bug Saul (James Franco) find that sometimes the motivation you need to make something of your life is a mob of fugitives hunting you down. (R: for pervasive language, drug use, sexual references and violence)
“Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2:” In this film, based on Ann Brashares’ best-selling series of novels, four young women continue the journey toward adulthood that began with “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” Now three years later, these lifelong friends embark on separate paths for their first year of college and the summer beyond, but remain in touch by sharing their experiences with each other as they always have — with honesty and humor. Discovering their individual strengths, fears, talents and capacity for love through the choices they make, they come to value more than ever the bond they share and the immeasurable power of their friendship. (PG-13: for mature material and sensualilty)
“The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer:” The “Mummy” franchise takes a spellbinding turn as the action shifts to Asia for this next chapter in the adventure series. Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O’Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined by son Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah). And this time, the O’Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse that threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service. (PG-13: for adventure action and violence)
“Space Chimps:” This animated comedy adventure is about two NASA chimps that are sent to a galaxy far, far away. One chimp has “The Right Stuff” and the other, a good natured goofball, has “The Wrong Stuff.” The two chimps find themselves on a strange, uncharted planet, where they embark on a fantastical journey to save its inhabitants from a tyrannical leader. Featured voices are Jeff Daniels, Stanley Tucci, Patrick Warburton and Cheryl Hines. (G)

“Kung Fu Panda:” Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around ... which doesn’t exactly come in handy while working in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat.
