A court hearing for the aunt and uncle of a Seminole County boy missing since 2006 was held Thursday concerning state exhibits being sealed and their next court date is now scheduled Feb. 7.

Rex and Rebecca Clark are charged in Seminole County District Court with first-degree murder in the death of their 9-year-old foster son, Colton Clark.

They also are charged with child abuse by injury.

An arrest affidavit details an interview with Colton's brother, formerly named Homer Clark, who told investigators the couple beat the boys before Colton — who was also the couple's nephew — disappeared in 2006. He also said they threatened to kill him if he failed to repeat a rehearsed story.

The couple was arrested and jailed April 8 as investigators converged on their home near Seminole to serve a search warrant.

Authorities have searched the couple's 5-acre farm for the child's remains, but they have not been found.

When Colton was first reported missing in 2006, investigators searched about 2,500 acres in hopes of finding him.
