Candidates for municipal offices in six Pottawatomie County municipalities will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6.

Jeannie Stover, Secretary of the Pottawatomie County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office on Acme Road for the indicated offices for each of the following municipalities:

• Town of Asher, 1 Trustee, 4year term

• Town of Asher, unexpired term, 1 Trustee, 2year term

• Town of Bethel Acres, Ward 2 Trustee term expires April 2021

• Town of Bethel Acres, Ward 4 Trustee term expires April 2021

• Town of Bethel Acres, unexpired term,Ward 1 Trustee term expires April 2019

• Town of Bethel Acres, unexpired term, Ward 3 Trustee term expired April 2019

• City of Maud, Councilmember Ward 2 term expires 2021

• City of Maud, Councilmember Ward 4 term expires 2021

• City of Maud, Unexpired term, Councilmember Ward 1 term expires 2019

• City of McLoud, Councilmember Ward Three term expires 2021

• City of McLoud, Councilmember Ward Four term expires 2021

• City of McLoud, Councilmember At-Large term expires 2021

• Town of Pink, Ward Two Trustee term expires 2021

• Town of Pink, Ward Four Trustee term expires 2021

• Town of Wanette, 2 Trustees, 4-year term ending 2021

The municipal offices at stake in Town of Asher, Bethel Acres, Pink, Wanette, City of Maud and City of McLoud will be filled in the nonpartisan General Election scheduled April 4, 2017.
