At Monday's school board meeting, the Pleasant Grove School Board approved Superintendent Scott Roper to remain the school's superintendent for the 2017-2018 school year.
The board also approved the school to hire a part-time housekeeper.
Also during the meeting, a parent, speaking to the board during the public comments portion of the agenda, aired complaints and alleged that Principal Timmy Young made insensitive remarks to parents about their children's haircut. That parent also alleged that Young was showing photos of his wife, his seats at an Oklahoma City Thunder basketball game and photos of he and his wife at the Governor's Ball during a meeting regarding a student's behavior. Young wasn't present during Monday's meeting.
Another parent addressed the board and suggested the district should invest in school textbooks.
The school board told the parents they were unable to act on the public comments since they were not on the agenda.
