Harvey Leon Knight passed away Feb. 6, 2017, at Mullican Care Center in Savoy after a sudden illness.

Harvey Leon Knight passed away Feb. 6, 2017, at Mullican Care Center in Savoy after a sudden illness.

His life will be celebrated with a graveside service Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Denison.

Harvey was born March 19, 1935, in Shawnee, the youngest child of Hope of Sadie (Hause) Knight.

He lived and worked in Sherman for many years and retired as district supervisor of Shepps Dairy.

His hobbies were reading, gardening, fishing and travel. He was a lifelong member of Johnson Church of God in Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Hartley) Knight, and his sister, Mary Ellen Herron of Shawnee.

He is survived by his sister, Mertie Herron, also of Shawnee, his children, Debbie White and husband Robert of Sherman, Terri Knight and Jim Berry of Kentuckytown, and Larry Knight of Sherman; grandchildren, Michele White, Chris White, Andrew White and wife Anjolee of Sherman, Kathy Durham and husband Brad of Southmayd, Elizabeth Jones and husband John of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Derek Deac and wife Laura of Kansas City, Kansas, Leslie, Buffy, and Christina Knight, all of Sherman, and Larry Knight and wife Casey of Denison. He also leaves behind 29 beloved great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Harvey was “Pawpaw,” the solid foundation of our family. He is dearly loved and will be sorely missed and forever remembered.
