The Pottawatomie County Cattle Producers and the OSU Extension Center  have scheduled an upcoming agriculture seminar. They will be hosting an "Oklahoma State University Market Outlook" program on Monday, February 27th.

"Think of it as one-stop shopping as we will be covering a number of market-related subjects of importance to area livestock and crop producers," said William Payne, Pottawatomie County Cattlemen's Association President.

Speakers and topics for the evening are all university employees with a wealth of knowledge to share. The speakers include, Derrell Peel, OSU Cooperative Extension Livestock Marketing Specialist. He will provide the latest updates and insights about cattle and hogs markets. JJ Jones, OSU Cooperative Extension Southeast Area Agricultural Economist, will lead discussions about sheep and goats. Trent Milacek, OSU Cooperative Extension Northwest Area Agricultural Economist, will focus on the wheat and corn markets. And, finally, Scott Clawson, OSU Cooperative Extension Northeast Area Agricultural Economist, will provide the latest updates about soybeans and grain sorghum.

This program will be held on Monday, February 27th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. We plan to start serving our meal about 6:20. We will meet in the Tecumseh W.P. Wood Alumni Center, located on the grounds of Tecumseh High School on North 13th Street.

A meal will be sponsored by Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction from Ada, OK. If you are planning to attend, please R.S.V.P. to the OSU Extension Center at 273-7683 by Thursday, February 23, at 4:30 p.m. Because this is a short time period for meal purchase, please make your reservation at your earliest convenience.
