Jereda P. Kizzia went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2017.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home in Shawnee.

Visitation will be available Tuesday, April 18, from noon until 8 p.m.

Jereda was born in Pauls Valley on Aug. 1, 1926.

She married Jack W. Kizzia on July 14, 1946.

Early in her career she worked for Finley and Cook Accounting Firm where she did tax return preparation. In 1967, she and her husband opened Kizzia Heating and Air Conditioning where she handled all accounting and office management tasks. She was always very involved with her church where she taught adult Sunday School classes and sang in the choir. She was also very active in the Aglow International women’s ministry where she held the office of State Treasurer for 12 years. Her true passion in life was her family and friends. She and Jack frequently entertained at their lake home in Eufala, where countless family and friends experienced her gift of hospitality and generosity. She will be remembered by many for her contagious laugh and her love for her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Jereda is preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2006, her sister, Juanita Franklin and her brother, Richard Harris.

Jereda is survived by one brother, Dr. Obadiah Harris (Los Angeles), three children, Jack R. Kizzia and his wife, Sue (Shawnee), Kim Angell and her husband, Toby (Stillwater) and Patti Webb and her husband, Greg (Stillwater), six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews.
