The Lincoln and Okfuskee County OSU Extension Family and Consumer Science programs are sponsoring and presenting a workshop entitled “Freezing Food at Home” in two locations.  Topics that will be covered in the workshop include advantages of freezing, food safety and freezing, how freezing affects food, freezer selection considerations, packaging and packing foods to be frozen, preparation of fruits and vegetables for freezing, etc. 

            Cost for the workshop is $12.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, May 25th from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Chandler High School, FACS Ed room, 901 S. CHS Street, Chandler.  The pre-registration deadline for this workshop is noon, Monday, May 22nd to the Lincoln Co.             The workshop will also be held Thursday, June 8th from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 800 S. Elm, in Paden Oklahoma.  The pre-registration deadline for this workshop is noon, Monday June 5th to the Okfuskee County OSU Extension Center, PO Box 107, 1201 E.
