A competency review hearing is expected this week for a Prague woman who faces a second-degree murder charge in connection with the 2016 stabbing death of her roommate.
Phyllis Rhone, 56, is formally charged in Pottawatomie County District Court.
She was arrested in the stabbing death of Shannon Holloway, 48, Undersheriff Travis Palmer reported.
An argument between the two female roommates allegedly ended with Holloway's death.
Palmer said the incident occurred at the apartments of an assisted living facility located in the area of Moccasin Trail Road and SH 99, which is in the far northeastern part of the county.
Palmer said it appears the suspect had been living on the assisted living side of the facility but had moved into the apartment with Holloway just a couple of days prior to the stabbing.
Rhone remains jailed in the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center.
