Schools in the Tecumseh district are set to resume Aug. 10.

Some of the major improvements at Tecumseh are the renovation of the band and choir rooms.

“These rooms are looking really nice,” Superintendent Tom Wilsie said. “We are very pleased with the speed in which they were completed.”

Tecumseh Schools is partnering with Gordon Cooper Technology Center and is working toward offering STEM-themed courses at the schools, Wilsie said.

STEM focuses on science, technology, engineering and math related activities.

Wilsie anticipates robotics teams will be formed in the elementary and middle schools.

Another feature added to Tecumseh Schools is secure entrances at all sites in the district, Wilsie said.

As far as new courses that are offered, Wilsie said there will be more options available for career exploration and development.
