McLOUD — Chance Griffin’s McLoud squad required just 4 ½ innings to pummel Kingfisher 16-0 Tuesday.

The Lady Redskins scored in all four innings, including a six-spot in the bottom of the fourth.

McLoud cranked out 16 hits with Callie Cardin registering a double and two singles. Karlee Higdon added a double and a single while teammate Jessie Wooten went 3 of 4 with three singles.

Victorious pitcher Gabby Sears permitted two hits, fanned three and walked one in raising her record to 7-5.

McLoud got to the .500 mark at 8-8.

Griffin’s squad will conclude its week Thursday with a 5 p.m. varsity/junior-varsity doubleheader at Bethany.

McLoud will play at Holdenville Monday, then entertain Chickasha Tuesday.
