MEEKER — A three-run outburst in the first inning keyed Meeker to a 4-1 victory over Okemah Tuesday.
Meeker accumulated just three hits, including a double by Kristen Park, but was the recipient of 10 walks.
Kaycee Babek, Madison Hedge, Callie Sellers and Park each scored a run. Darien Edmonds and Madison Gabeau drove in a run apiece.
Babek and Park had a stolen base each. Babek and Edmonds both walked twice.
Gabeau earned the pitching win with a six-inning seven-hitter. She struck out seven and walked one. Gabeau threw 94 pitches, 64 of which were strikes.
Meeker scored once in the third while Okemah’s run came in the fifth.
Meeker will launch action Thursday in the Prague Tournament.
