Traffic Signal Work

On Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the city of Shawnee will be replacing the traffic signal pole on the north east corner of Harrison and Federal. Traffic congestion is expected due to the signal being turned off and misc lanes closures throughout the day. There will also be short times that we will need to stop all north bound traffic temporarily while we remove and replace the overhead mast arm that the signal heads are mounted to.

Lane Closures

Beginning Wednesday morning, Sept. 6, the outside lane of southbound Harrison will be closed leaving only a single south bound lane in order to construct the driveway for the new Salazar Roofing location. The lane should be re-opened by the end of the day.

The westbound lane of Garrets Lake Road between SH 18 and Bryan Street will be closed at various locations beginning Tuesday September 5 in order to repair the roadway.

Traffic Signal Work

The traffic signal located at Harrison & I-40 will be re-wired beginning Wednesday 6th at 9 a.m. and continue through Thursday, Sept. 7. During the re-wire, the city will be turning off the power and the signal will be dark. While the signal is dark we will have 4-way stop signs placed within the intersections for traffic control. Please be advised that we expect traffic congestion during these times.
