The daughter of the late Ernest Taylor and Lois Ragsdale Mauldin, Shirley was born March 24, 1937, in Wagoner and went to her heavenly home Aug. 28, 2017, in Ardmore, surrounded by her family.

She married Jack Tyler on Aug. 19, 1953, and to this union were born three children: Shelley, Vaughn and Kivin. She later married Jacob Redekopp on March 1, 1974, in Shawnee, and he preceded her death Jan. 7, 2008. She was also preceded in by two sisters, Bonita Taber and Gertrude Dunn-Tull.

Shirley graduated from Asher High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ. While in Shawnee, she was a member of Northridge Church of Christ. She loved her family and God, and she enjoyed traveling, having a suitcase always packed and ready.

Survivors include her daughters Shelley Geurin and her husband Tommy, Kivin Tyler, son Vaughn Tyler and wife Vicky all of Ardmore, six grandchildren, Shawn and wife Carmella Geurin, Jennifer and husband Richard Marshall, Melanie and husband Jeremy Kerley, Kindra and husband Jeff Boyles, Tyler Ott and Sarah Tyler, seven great-grandchildren, Hannah and husband Gage Kennedy; Nick Marshall, Lauren Marshall, Jake Geurin, Maddie Ott, Katie Ott and Jackson Kerley, and two great-great-grandchildren Audrey and Beau Kennedy. She is also survived by four nieces, Mae Newell, Verna Kilburn, Lana Sealock and husband Dan, and Debra Soules and husband Michael, and her lifelong friends Bill and Ruby Roberts.

Serving as bearers will be Tommy Geurin, Shawn Geurin, Jake Geurin, Richard Marshall, Nick Marshall, Jeff Boyles and Tyler Ott.

The family asks that memorials be made to Cross Timber Hospice.
