Georgia Louise Hardison of Wasilla, Alaska, previously a longtime resident of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Wasilla, Alaska, at the age of 83.

Georgia Louise Hardison of Wasilla, Alaska, previously a longtime resident of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Wasilla, Alaska, at the age of 83.

Georgia was born May 29, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and married Wendell Ray Hardison on April 15, 1950. Georgia and Wendell moved to Oklahoma in 1964 where she was a stay-at-home mom and raised her four children. Georgia loved spending time with her family and loved taking her children and grandchildren on many adventures. She was always giving and always put others first even when she lost her sight in 1996. Georgia always had a smile on her face and song in her heart. She enjoyed singing with her sisters, singing at church, or just anytime a song came to mind. Georgia left a great impression with anyone she met and was loved greatly by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alice and Henry Wiles, sisters Rosemary and Francis Latin, grandson Sean Coe, and her husband Wendell Hardison.

She is survived by her children Michael Hardison of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kathy Nicely of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rachel Leonard of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and Tammy Flud of Wasilla, Alaska, grandchildren Quinton and Jamie Hardison of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jason Garton of Indianapolis, Indiana, Marty Whitthorne of Moore, Oklahoma, Amanda Coe of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Terry Leonard of Noble, Oklahoma, April Castro of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Anthony Leonard of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, John Flud of Norman, Oklahoma, Stormy Smith of Wasilla, Alaska, great-grandchildren, Rhea Smith of Wasilla, Alaska, Ashlan and Riley Coe of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Mabry Castro of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Farralynn Lynch, of Norman, Oklahoma, and Noah Leonard of Noble, Oklahoma, along with four sisters, in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
