Not only did the current Shawnee Wolves have a good weekend – improving to 2-0 with a 7-6 win over Duncan – a few former Wolves had good weekends at the next level.

Jackson Winrow recorded his first catch in a Vanderbilt win over Alabama A&M. Creed Humprey – who will probably redshirt for Oklahoma – celebrated a huge win Saturday night with the Sooners. And Jack Diamond returned from an ankle injury that kept him out of the Coffeyville Community College lineup for two weeks to lead his team to a big win over rival No. 18 Butler Community College.

The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference rivalry came down to a close finish, but the Red Ravens held on for a 35-32 upset.

The Red Ravens scored on two fumble recoveries and an interception return in addition to two touchdown passes by Diamond. Diamond completed 10 of 16 passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. He did not throw an interception.

Diamond briefly left the game twice. Once, he had to have his injured ankle retaped and the second time was to stop the bleeding from his nose.
