Two of the three mysteries have been solved.

Regarding the question of what businesses plan to be housed in Bison Crossing — the new development currently under construction at 3930 N. Kickapoo — two-thirds of the owners have made themselves known.

Elevated Grounds

Owners Kyle and Amy Petitt said their coffeehouse, Elevated Grounds, will be open before October — as long as construction isn't held up.

The duo brought a sneak peek of their coffeehouse offerings to Spotlight on Shawnee, on the Oklahoma Baptist University campus in August.

There, the coffeehouse's banner touted, “Coffee. Pie. Community,” implying its goal is to serve as more than just a beverage stop.

“Elevated Grounds is an espresso-based coffee shop bringing Coffee Slingers Roasters Coffee (of OKC) to the Shawnee area,” he said. “Along with amazing coffee, Elevated Grounds will also serve various types of pie daily.”

He said customers can pre-order whole pie, or buy it by the slice.

“We will have an open sit down area for people wanting to do business, study or simply hang out,” he said.

Drivers in a rush will not be left out — Kyle said his store will include a drive thru window for people on the go.

He said his coffeehouse also will sell custom apparel of any kind.

“However, we will be highlighting custom Thunder and Bison gear,” he said. “We will be open seven days a week — staying open late most evenings.”

He said the shop's hours will be Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturdays will be from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sundays will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Physical Therapy Central

With an onsite banner announcing the soon-to-be arrival of the business, Physical Therapy Central appears to be planning an open date within the next few weeks.

“The (James and Meredith) Baileys are back in #Shawnee and ready to serve this great community. Looking to be open for business early in #october #choosept #ptfirst,” a post on their Facebook page reads.
