At Monday's Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board approved Bethel Schools to purchase 25 new Lenovo Chromebooks.
Total cost of the Chromebooks is $4,225 and will be purchased with funds available to the district from the county's education sales tax. The equipment will be purchased from Firefly Computers in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
In other commission news:
The commissioners approved District 3 purchase of a John Deere 6120M cab tractor. The listed price was $110,989 but with the trade-in of a Kubota M9960 the county was able to purchase the tractor for $85,461.43. The tractor was purchased from P&K Equipment in Kingfisher, OK.
District 2 is now accepting bids for two miles of overlay on Bethel Road.
