Jennifer Ann Jones Gardner, 69, of Shawnee, passed from this life at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Sept. 10, 2017.

Jennifer Ann Jones Gardner, 69, of Shawnee, passed from this life at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Sept. 10, 2017.

She was born in Shawnee on Sept. 27, 1947, to John and Wilma Jones.

She attended Tribbey school until the sixth grade and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1965.

On April 21, 1972, she was united in marriage with Ronald Gardner in Tecumseh. From that marriage she was blessed with two children.

Jennifer loved art, sewing, painting, crafting, and giving gifts of her artwork. She operated several small galleries of her work including her Prairie Rose Designs Studio.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Edward Jones, and beloved grandparents, George and Eunice Thompson and Sidney Jones.

She is survived by her children, Jason Gardner of Seminole; and Amanda Gardner Walker of Shawnee; and Chance Walker of Shawnee; two granddaughters, Charity Walker of Shawnee, and Baylie Gardner of Eufala.

She is further survived by her mother, Wilma Cunningham of Shawnee; brothers Keith Jones and wife Kathy of Cave Creek, Arizona; Alan Jones and wife Mary of Tecumseh, and nephews C. Jones, Kevin Jones, and Kyle Jones.

A memorial service will be at the Liberty Baptist Church, 711 E. Federal St, Shawnee, on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. Brother Phil Thompson will be officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends in the church cafeteria starting at 12:45. All are welcome to attend.
