Greetings! These greetings will soon be going out with a chill, as we have now entered into the fall season, which we can definitely relate to, as our yards are full of leaves!

This is the time of year that our children got all excited about joining in making a large bon-fire at football games, which helps parents of teenagers know the fall season has definitely arrived! I am sure some of our fathers, but, also moms, had a hand in helping get wood for the fire, along with refreshments for the entire team and cheerleaders. As, all of those memories come rolling back, it doesn’t seem like 50 or 60 years have evaporated into the eons of time, which I am sure some of you can relate. We have the photographs of our precious cheerleaders, with the team huddled around, giving those school chants out, with all their force!

Now, our grands and/or great-grands are beginning to join in on all of the fall festivities, gathering pumpkins for the yard and front porch decorations, while grandmothers may be stitching up one of the cheerleader’s suits.

Goodness, it doesn’t seem like my beautiful blonde cheerleader is now doing all those things for my great-granddaughter! What happened to the pages of time and calendars, with clocks ticking rapidly as the years evaporated into by-gone years?

As all of my senior savvy friends can relate, before we realize it, the calendar pages turned into precious memories, which will have to be put on the back-burner for now, because before we know it, one of those Oklahoma northers will come roaring over those Kansas plains, bringing Ole Man Winter rolling blasting in on the wings of a cold norther!

Isn’t it amazing how the summer days quickly vanished and cooler weather brought in football games and weiner roasts, with the turning of the calendar page! Evidently, we all were so busy, not even noticing how time slipped away, day after day, with time evaporated into the eons of time.

But, isn’t that how turning those bygone days into years, with some precious memories, warms our hearts on a cool fall evening. When we turn the television off, maybe look at some of our favorite photographs, then recall the joy and happiness of those yester-years.

May each of us remember there is so much good and happiness all around us, and when we do recall those “precious moments,” our thoughts bring smiles to our faces and put joy in our hearts.

Also, may we never forget that each person is a positive force in someone’s life, but, we may never know about it. Therefore, may we put our worries behind us, and recall those precious moments and let joy and happiness bring smiles to our faces, which will bring a ray of sunshine to others. Have a great and blessed week!
