Donna Kaye Townsend, 63, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at her home.

Donna Kaye Townsend, 63, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at her home.

She was born April 26, 1954, to William Branson and Virginia “Joyce” (French) Townsend in Ft. Morgan, Colorado.

Although Donna was born in Ft. Morgan and traveled to different places while young, she was proud to be a Savage, growing up and later planting roots in Tecumseh, where she was surrounded by many dear friends and loved ones. She graduated with the class of 1972 from Tecumseh High School.

Donna was employed as the office manager of Mid America Rigging in Oklahoma City.

Some of her interest include but are not limited to traveling, playing bingo, going to garage sales and estates auctions, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alicia Ryan; mother, Joyce Townsend; father, William Townsend; and sister, Linda Lincoln.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Tiyah and Travis Simmons of Choctaw; son, Harley Burgess of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Tré and Mykal Simmons and Holly and Hamiyah Burgess; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, William “Bill” and Donna Townsend of Marble Falls, Texas, and Brad and Lee Ann Townsend of Moore; several nieces, nephews and other loving extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, at Cooper Funeral Home.

Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lonnie Hurst, Grace Community Church in Tecumseh, officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
