The Pottawatomie County Healthy Living Program is proud to support Pleasant Grove School with a garden sponsorship to support their current garden on site.  Goals for this garden include teaching the importance of agriculture, the value of ‘farm to table’, providing ‘taste testing’ opportunities promoting healthy eating habits and life skills that will carried over to home and community.  Nutrition and science lessons will be taught as well using the school garden as an instructional tool.  Pictured left to right:  Lisa Cobb, Pottawatomie County Healthy Living Program Consultant and Scott Roper, Superintendent, Pleasant Grove School.  Congratulations to Pleasant Grove School for being a wonderful example of teaching and promoting health and wellness in schools!
