The event will move to the Santa Fe Depot on Main Street from 2 to 7 p.m. where event goers will join activities already underway since 11 a.m. and have the opportunity to see trains from HO scale models to a real engine on the tracks.
Vintage automobiles and things with wheels will fill the depot parking lot and line East 9th street. Kiddie train rides, pony carousel rides and a petting zoo will be available free for the kids. There will be a live band and many other fun activities. The Guthrie Gunfighters also will be in Centennial Park in front of the depot at Main Street.
• Pick a pumpkin: Events are slated Saturday at the Pumpkin Fest at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1625 N. Broadway. Children will be able to paint their own pumpkins. There will also be free train rides on the Pumpkin Fest Special all afternoon. There will also be a garage sale to benefit the church’s efforts to help homeless veterans in our area.
• Join a fun run in Tecumseh: The Cross Timbers Savage Fun(d) Run will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday to help raise money for Cross Timbers Elementary in Tecumseh. The community is invited to join in the fun as food trucks will be on hand for lunch, all giving back a portion of proceeds to the school. Money will be used for the in-school mileage club.
