Tecumseh High School is currently on lockdown.

Assistant Superintendent Julie McCormick said the school notified parents at about 12:30 p.m., letting them know that high-schoolers were on lockdown until further notice.

She said the measures were being taken after a Tecumseh student received a threat via text by someone not associated with Tecumseh, in fact, the person lives in another town.

Right now there is cooperation between, and a presence of, members of law enforcement agencies at both at Tecumseh High School and in the suspect's city of residence.

“Law enforcement agencies are looking for the person in question,” McCormick said. “We won't lift the lockdown until the person who made the threat is found.”
