Annette Armstrong, 60, of Shawnee, completed her work here peacefully on Nov. 1, 2017.

An OBU alumni, decades of servicing the local hospital, late nights selling roses, and community involvement lead to her next assignment. She received an offer she couldn’t refuse. This new journey comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends. It is located in paradise where she will be socializing, dancing, singing, writing and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter, and love are a guarantee.

She left instructions with her children, Robert Stone and Kyah Arms; grandchildren Aria Hawkins, Vaj Hardwick, Chance Hawkins, Maylee Hawkins, and Liam Hawkins-Arms; her church family (and others whose lives she influenced and touched) that her life should be celebrated and low adherence to this will not be tolerated. Annette’s mission here will live through our hearts and our memories.

Share your memories with her family at her Celebration of Life: Heritage Baptist Church in Shawnee at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11. She is resting at Resthaven Funeral Home until the service.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bessie Armstrong; her sister Janet Cox; her former husband Robert Stone.
