Brett Hayes and Joey Fowler each had four.

Macomb fed the post early and often with Andrew Boydston scoring seven points in the quarter. Fellow post Caleb Browning had four but the Hornets fell behind 24-13 at the end of the first quarter.

The Hornets would cut the lead to six points in the second quarter thanks to a 7-2 run. The Dragons went on a 10-4 run later in the quarter to end the first half with a 43-31 lead.

Macomb struggled in the third quarter as five of their nine points came at the free throw line. Dewar's Fowler singlehandedly kept pace scoring eight in the quarter.

With the Hornets down 20 in fourth quarter, freshman Ian Horn kept firing knocking down his second trey of the game. Blaine Cope scored on a jump hook and came back on the defensive end with a block but Dewar was able to keep the momentum when Kelby Carter added an and-one.

The next trip up the floor, Carter stole the ball and drew a foul making one of two free throws and Dewar went up 70-51.

Horn led Macomb with 13 points.

Dewar's Joey Fowler led all scorers with 14. Baylor Selby had 11 points and Kelby Carter added 10. Macomb will face the loser of Sasakwa and Smithville Friday morning at 11:30. Dewar will play the winner of that game at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening.
