JONES — The Lady Wildcats of Bethel blanked Centennial 20-0 in the opening quarter en route to a 73-23 runaway victory Friday in consolation play of the Jones Tournament.

Bethel led 40-8 at the intermission.

Ten Lady Wildcats finished in the scoring column, led by Kirsten Winters with 17. Also scoring in double figures for the Lady Wildcats were Keagan Engle (13), Paige Hubler (13) and Faith Hanna (11). Kelsie Wood chipped in with 8.

Centennial didn’t have a player score more than eight points.

Bethel dropped into the consolation bracket with a 59-55 first-round setback to Lindsay Thursday.

Bethel will conclude the tournament today with a 10 a.m. game against Tecumseh.,
