Anna “Annie” (James) Motley, 94, of Tecumseh, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, in Tecumseh.

Anna “Annie” (James) Motley, 94, of Tecumseh, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, in Tecumseh.

She was born April 12, 1923, to Burton A. and Stella J. (Presley) James in Maud.

Annie was raised in Maud area and attended Pleasant Valley Schools.

She married Halvin C. “Dick” Motley on Dec. 23, 1950, in Tecumseh, and they were happily married for 67 years.

Annie worked at C.R. Kress in Shawnee.

She was an active member of Tecumseh First Baptist Church.

Annie loved gardening, the outdoors and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Halvin “Dick” Motley of the home; special adopted family, Robert and Sherry Cadenhead of Edmond, and Krystina Cadenhead, M.D. of Edmond; and many loving friends and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at Tecumseh Cemetery with Reverend Tony Peak, Tecumseh First Baptist Church, officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
