Funeral services for Clydee Kelly Klein will be held Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Wanette Cemetery Chapel in Wanette.

Clydee Klein was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Pottawatomie County to Clarence and Jennie (Farley) Kelly. She passed away Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 86.

Clydee was a longtime resident of Okemah and always considered it home.

She and Thomas Wayne Klein were married Oct. 30, 1961, in Bristow; he later preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1985.

Clydee retired after more than 30 years of working as a program director with the U.S.D.A. / A.S.C.S. She enjoyed collecting antiques and thimbles and was a member of the “Thimble Society.” She was a gifted seamstress and especially enjoyed quilting. Clydee was also a member of the Church of Christ.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; step-son, Michael Klein; one brother, Richard Kelly and two sisters, Earnestine Brown and Lyla Stillwell.

Survivors include her step-son, Kenneth Klein of Houston, Texas; brother, Dale Kelly and wife Reta of Lexington; grandchildren, Brian, Heather and Summer Klein; two nephews, Joe Brown and wife Linda of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Roger Kelly of Lexington, and five nieces, Gency Brown of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Carla Stillwell of Chickasha, Nelda Kelley of Oklahoma City, Gail DeNegri of Overland Park, Kansas, and Dorinda Kelly of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by special family friends, Kevin and Tammy Bullard of Andrews, Texas, and their children, Matthew Bullard, Tiffany Gehlen and April Crow.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, and officiated by Kevin Bullard.
