Amanda Teape Johnson is committed to making Shawnee a more engaging community and helping businesses to do the same. Since graduating Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in Strategic Communications in 2010, she has lived and worked in this area. For the last three years, she worked for Michael Cappo Insurance, utilizing her role there to become connected with various organizations and campaigns to cultivate relationships with other local businesses.  Johnson became active with the Chamber of Commerce three years ago, and was named Chamber Ambassador Chair in 2018. She recently started a new job with United Way of Pottawatomie County as the Community Relations Coordinator. Johnson also runs the social media for her husband David’s Cornwell Tools Shawnee business. She is active in Junior Service League, Chamber Ambassadors, Safe Events for Families (SEFF), and enjoys volunteering at Horace Mann Elementary.

Johnson loves attending OSU football and basketball games with her husband, dabbling in graphic design, and spending time with her grandbabies.
