Jane joined other members of her family in Heaven on Jan. 25, 2018, one day before her 87th birthday. She was born on Jan. 26, 1931, in Lufkin, TX to parents William Arthur and Margaret Leone (Yowell) Lowrey.

She lived in Shawnee until she married Robert Allen Chandler after college. They lived in various places in the United States. She spent many years in Texas (McAllen, Austin and Dallas areas) until she returned to Shawnee for her final years to be with her family. She lived at Colonial Estates until the time of her death.

Jane was an avid reader, loved movies and the arts, was very creative, mentored the young, and people often came to her for advice. She enjoyed a good political discussion, was a true individualist and a free thinker. Jane believed in the human spirit and the higher self. Her family was always a priority.

Jane is survived by her daughter Janna Chandler and husband Gil Sanz of Arizona, son Keat and wife Cheyenne Chandler of Florida, twin brothers, Bill and wife Dee Lowrey, Charlie and wife Shirley Lowrey, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, and older sister Ann Alberson.

Her eccentric personality was enjoyed by many and she will be missed deeply by all.

Per Jane’s request, her body was donated to the University of Oklahoma Medical Research Center. A Celebration of Life was held by her family on January 27, 2018.
