At Monday's Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners meeting, the commissioners gave approval for Pleasant Grove Schools to purchase a new school bus.

The new bus will be purchased from Ross Transportation for a total cost of $80,942.

Pleasant Grove will use funds available to the district from the county's education sales tax.

The commissioners approved the reappointment of Don Sumner, Mark Finley and Bart West to the Pottawatomie County Home Finance Authority.

Members of the Home Finance Authority serve three year terms.

There was no action regarding agreement for purchase and sale of 330 N. Broadway, the former MidFirst bank building. It was tabled until next week.

The county-implemented burn ban is still in effect. The burn ban was put into effect at the Jan. 29 meeting and was scheduled for 14 days.

The next commissioner's meeting will be held Tuesday Feb. 20 at the Pottawatomie County Courthouse. The courthouse will be closed on Monday in observance of Present's Day.
