Prague senior Madison Dunn is dedicated in and out of the classroom.

She has been selected as one of The Shawnee News-Star and Patriot Auto Group Students of the Month for January and is now in the running to win a car.

Throughout her high school career, Dunn has gone above and beyond in the classroom.

“Madison exemplifies a great deal of character, good morals and she is an all-around great student,” Prague High School Counselor Stephanie Lee said.

Dunn is attending Seminole State College while she finishes up at Prague High School. She also finds time to be an active participant in school events, within the community and her church.

Dunn also serves as the National Honor SocietyPresident and is the Prague Academic Team Captain.

In the community, Dunn has donated her time to the local library. She tutors kids in the after school program and a volunteer puppeteer in the children's program at her church.

“The preparation and volunteer time is extensive for puppeteering. Madison has a warm servant's heart,” Lee said.

One of Dunn's biggest accomplishments is her involvement with Rachel's Challenge. This is an organization that was formed after Rachel Scott was shot and killed at Columbine High School in Colorado. The club teaches students students to spread kindness not hate.

Other school activities Dunn is involved in are Art Club, Student Council, Prom Committee and National Honor Society.

“Madison is one of our most trusted students at Prague High School,” Lee said. “She will be utilized by every teacher if they need a student's help. All of our teachers know that Madison will get the job done and complete it in a timely manner.”

Dunn currently maintains a 3.95 GPA.
