The 2018 Gladiator Robotics competition kicked off Friday. The competition will resume Saturday at 8 a.m. and continue throughout the day at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center.

Spectators will be able to watch high school participants compete for a chance to qualify for the world championships in Louisville, Kentucky.

The competition requires teams of students to design and build a robot that will compete against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. STEM concepts are put to the test in this fast-paced event
