Richard Dale Effinger, 41, of Wanette, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at his home.

Richard Dale Effinger, 41, of Wanette, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at his home.

He was born Aug. 25, 1976, to George Effinger, Jr. and Claralice (Schatz) Putnam in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Richard was raised in Wanette and attending Wanette Public Schools. He graduated with the class of 1996 from Wanette High School.

He married Barbara Baker on July 13, 2007, in Norman, Oklahoma.

Richard owned and operated Hwy 39 Auction in Wanette. He was known as a jack of all trades and a truck driver. He loved working with his family, working on the farm, singing karaoke and get together with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and uncle, Kenneth Dale Effinger.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Barbara Effinger of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Roy Anderson of Wanette, OK; three brothers, Jeremiah Effinger of Oklahoma City, Gregory Effinger of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Michael Effinger of Ada, Oklahoma; father, George Effinger of Wanette; mother, Claralice Putnam of Ada; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 25, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in

Wanette.

Service will be 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 26, at Wanette High School Gymnasium with Reverend Britt Lesley officiating. Burial will follow at Tribbey Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
