The Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show begins Tuesday in Shawnee and continues through Friday.

The annual event at Expo Center includes sheep, goat, swine and beef shows, with area students participating.

The sheep show begins at noon today, followed by the doe goat and wether goat show.

On Wednesday, the Cattlemen's Steer Feed Out Contest begins at 10 a.m., followed by the beef show at 11 a.m.

Thursday's events include the swine show at 9 a.m.

All animals will be released at the conclusion of each species show and grounds will be open for premium sale animals by 2 p.m. Friday and must be scanned by 4 p.m. for the Premium Sale.

The PCJLS Appreciation Reception is set for 5:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the award and scholarships presentation at 6:30 p.m. The event concludes with the Premium Auction at 7 p.m. Friday.
