Several planning items make up the bulk of the agenda Monday as Shawnee City Commissioners meet to handle city business.

There will be a public hearing and consideration of an ordinance to rezone property located at each of the following:

• East of the intersection of Highland Street and Bryan Avenue from R-1; Single Family Residential District to PUD; Planned Unit Development.

• At 7109 N. Kickapoo Ave. from A-1; Rural Agricultural District to A-1; Rural Agricultural District with a Conditional Use Permit.

• At 2204 N. Leo Ave. from R-1; Single Family Residential District to R-2; Combined Residential District.

• At 4900 N. Harrison Ave. from C-3; Highway Commercial to PUD; Planned Unit Development.

• At 3900 N. Union Ave. from A-1; Rural Agricultural District to R-3; Multi-Family Residential District.

• At 2327 N. Harrison Avenue — the former Kmart building — from CP; Planned Shopping Center District to C-3; Highway Commercial District.

Commissioners will consider whether to approve Preliminary Plats for:

• Shawnee Retail Center, 4900 N. Harrison Ave.

• Maple Development, LLC, Shawnee Mall Drive, east of the BNSF Railroad Tracks.

• First United Bank of Shawnee, 2600 N. Harrison Ave.

In executive session, the board could go into negotiations with the IAFF, Local No. 206, the local fire fighters union, to work out a new collective bargaining agreement for FY 2018-2019.

Also, City Manager Justin Erickson will honor Employee of the Month Michael Johnson, of the Parks Department.

The 6:30 p.m. meeting will take place Monday in the Bertha Ann Young City Commission Chambers at City Hall, at 16 W. 9th St.
