On Saturday morning a few minutes before noon, a car crashed into the Boomarang Diner on MacArthur Street.

Despite being the usual time for lunch and the restaurant being open, there were no injuries reported and the diner reopened by 2:30 p.m. the same day.

“Wall and tables can be replaced. Our main concern will always be the safety of our customers and staff, and we were blessed because the situation could have been much, much worse,” Boomarang Marketing Director Breanne Hill said. “Our thanks to everyone who helped out, especially the first responders, our customers and their families.”

During repairs, the diner will remain open, but customers should use the side door on the east side of the building, Hill said.
