BYNG — Bethel’s Lady Wildcats were limited to three hits Monday in dropping a 13-1 decision to Byng.

The game was stopped on the run rule after Byng netted four runs in the bottom of the third inning. Byng posted six runs in the first, followed by three runs in the second.

Peyton Meiler and Skylar Pollard of Bethel doubled. Teammate Brooklyn Giddens added a single.

Pollard’s two-bagger drove in Meiler in the third.

Byng collected 10 hits, including a home run, triple and three doubles.

Bethel’s cause wasn’t aided by five errors. Byng didn’t commit an error.

Meiler suffered the pitching loss by permitting 10 hits. Four of Byng’s runs were unearned. Meiler fanned one and walked three.

Bethel, 1-11, will entertain Westmoore at 4:30 today, weather permitting.
