Greetings! Well, has the weather made up its mind on whether we will have warmer spring days or will it be another cool spell sneaking in behind the Easter Bunnies absence?

Greetings! Well, has the weather made up its mind on whether we will have warmer spring days or will it be another cool spell sneaking in behind the Easter Bunnies absence?

I hope the youngsters, of all ages, enjoyed cooking, coloring, hiding and finding all the many dozen of Easter Eggs! Then, maybe, just maybe, Mommy, Nana or Grandma would had the house full of aromas that made the stomach flip over from hunger! Those are the memories that come forth at holidays, for me. My thoughts recall how all the women were in their kitchens whipping up batters, icings, mixing fruit for their pies and cobblers, while, checking on the turkey and dressing in the oven or turning the pieces of chicken in the large cast iron skillet. I imagine that many of you can sit back and recall loading up all your family, with mouth-watering aromas filling the vehicle, while the children played games or joined in singing their childhood favorite songs. I hope I have helped to increase your thoughts of those days of long ago, as we now sit and read our newspapers, watch television, or chat on the telephone with loved ones scattered out across the universe.

It is so different now, as us, very mature citizens, can recall when all of our families, lived within a few miles or city blocks of each other. Now, they are scattered out from here to Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, or way out in timbucktoo! But, thankful for cell-phones where they can send us photos of all our loved ones, especially all the newcomers!

Now, come on all you Senior Citizens, and come on down to the Senior Citizens Center and come early, as the exercise programs start at eight, so please don’t be late! Then, there are several music and singing programs on different days, and there’s always a coffee or tea pot for you to grab, either a cup or glass, and relax a bit.

While relaxing, their might be some that are getting ready for the gospel singing or some exercise session. So, don’t sit home and be lonely. Come on down to the Senior Citizens Center, right smack-dab, in the middle of town!
