McLoud resident Clayton Baker Jr., 78, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Shawnee.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 13, at Jamison Cemetery with Chaplain Bill Simpson officiating.

Clayton was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Selma, North Carolina, to Oscar Clayton Baker Sr. and Viola (Evans) Baker.

He served in the United States Air Force for eight years.

He married Cindy (Starbuck) on Oct. 1, 1982.

Clayton was the chief electrical inspector for the city of Oklahoma City for many years before opening Baker Electric. He later started a business called Quarters Only which was a vending machine company. He enjoyed working and was a man that could fix or build anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include wife: Cindy Baker of the home; son: Clayton Baker of McLoud; two brothers: Jim Baker of Kansas City, Missouri, Harold Baker of Chelsea, Oklahoma; aunt-in-law: Carol Starbuck of Oklahoma City; and several other family members and friends.
