The FBI and Shawnee police are continuing their investigation into Shawnee's Saturday bank robbery at the IBC Bank on North Harrison and hope the public can help them identify the suspect.

The FBI and Shawnee police are continuing their investigation into Shawnee's Saturday bank robbery at the IBC Bank on North Harrison and hope the public can help them identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately in his 30s, unshaven, with a medium build. The suspect was seen wearing a dark-colored ball cap, dark sunglasses, a bright orange jacket, and blue jeans.

In the robbery, the suspect approached the teller counter and demanded money from bank employees.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot heading in a south direction. The suspect was seen carrying a canvas bag or backpack.

Shawnee Police Detective Jason Crouch said the FBI is taking the lead on the case and hope someone may recognize the suspect from the photos captured by the bank's cameras.

Crouch said the incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The bank is typically open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was displayed during the incident.
