Tecumseh suffered losses in two regional games Wednesday and Thursday to bring an end to their season. The Savages were shut out by Tuttle 10-0 Wednesday and suffered a 10-6 loss to Weatherford on Thursday.

TUTTLE – Tecumseh suffered losses in two regional games Wednesday and Thursday to bring an end to their season. The Savages were shut out by Tuttle 10-0 Wednesday and suffered a 10-6 loss to Weatherford on Thursday.

Weatherford went ahead 8-0 before Kullen Meadows and Andrew Lewis scored in the bottom of the second on a two out error to get the Savages on the board.

Lewis singled in the bottom of the fifth to bring home Kane Ainesworth and Colby Trammell singled to score Caleb Kelsey to cut the lead in half. Lewis had a two-run blast in the seventh but the Savages were unable to get any closer.

Tristin Anthony got the start on the mound against Weatherford and gave up four runs on four hits before being retired with one out in the first. Jayden Shaffer pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief and gave up four runs on four hits and Meadows closed things out. Meadows struck out seven and allowed two unearned runs on three hits.

Thompson and Anthony each got a hit against Tuttle as the Savages were shut out.

Tyler Thompson started and threw three innings to give up seven runs and Byron Thompson pitched two innings of relief. Lewis threw 1 1/3 innings to give up three runs on four hits and Gage Boatman closed things out.

The Savages finish the season with a record of 17-19.
