Donald Leroy Posey, 85-year-old longtime Seminole resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Seminole.

Donald Leroy Posey, 85-year-old longtime Seminole resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Seminole.

Donald was born Feb. 20, 1933, in Wewoka to LeRoy Posey and Madge (Jones) Posey.

Donald was a high school graduate and was the owner of a paint and body shop and auto salvage yard.

Donald served his country in the United States Army. He was an ordained minister for 60 years in the Pentecostal Holiness Church, was a member of MAPS, enjoyed traveling and collecting antique toys.

Donald married Christine Greenfield on June 18, 1955, in Kingfisher.

Donald is survived by his son; Don Posey and his wife Ginger of Konawa, and his daughter; Nancy Horn and her husband Jack of Seminole, his sister; Patsy McGehee and her husband Jerry of Seminole, and grandchildren; Zack Horn, Claire Posey and Race Posey and great-grandchild; Hadley Horn.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brother Judd Posey.

Funeral services for Donald will be Thursday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Arpoika Daniels officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
